Joy Medley serves as the Director of Fundraising for NHCOS.  She is essential in securing funding resources from state, local, and community organizations that support the daily operations of NHCOS programs. She has over 20 years of federal government experience serving as a Grants Program Manager, specializing in school turnaround. She is currently an Education Policy Development Specialist with the federal government.  Joy is also a former Charles County, MD elementary school principal and a graduate of Yale’s School of Management for Women’s Leadership. 

She earned her master’s degree in Education from Phoenix University and is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. Joy has a passion for program development and creating transformational change in organizations. She has been instrumental in developing the structure for the NHCOS Emergency Needs program handbook, the development of standard operating procedures for the Restorative Living Program, and is a teacher with New Hope Church of God’s Young Adult Ministry.

When Joy is not serving the community, she enjoys spending time with her two children and taking road trips to discover Maryland’s natural resources.
