Rodney D. Henderson serves as the Chairman and President of the Board of Directors. He has over 10 years of nonprofit experience in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He is an ordained minister with the Church of God denomination in Cleveland, Tennessee. Prior to Rodney’s appointment as Board Chairman, he served as NHCOS’ Director for three years. Under his leadership, NHCOS established partnerships with MOM’s Food Bank and SHABACH Community Outreach in PG County Maryland. Rodney’s passion is to see broken and wounded people become whole.
As Chairman, he supports NHCOS’ mission and goals to ensure community resources and materials are available to individuals and families who are in need on a day-to-day basis. Rodney maintains a positive and strong work ethic towards meeting community needs. On any given day, you would see Rodney working alongside the staff and volunteers to provide food and clothing to the Charles County residents. When Rodney is not serving the community, he enjoys family time with his wife and two children.
